It's an improvement on v1 but my first thought was that the colour of the page to the left and the top before it graduates to the right is very heavy. In my opionion I would be inclined to use one background colour for the content area (probably try the colour on the right - value: #A494E8) which will help the page look less busy and focus more attention on the content.
