Hi Giftgirl,

I certainly don't want to add to your stress so I'm going to be very careful here! I'm from Selectabase who you mentioned in your original post. In all honesty I agree with other posters in that renting a large mailing list from someone like us probably isnt not going to help you out, because of the oproduction costs etc, plus it sounds like you've got a lot of other stuff on your plate. So here's 3 ideas (and not all of them to do with our lists) which may be worth looking at:

1. We've got a monthly mailing list service called Birthday Mailings - you choose the postcode area, and we send you a list each month of consumers who are about to have a birthday. Because you are in the gift business, maybe you could mail them a voucher for them to pass on their family members. You can target by age as well. As a monthly service your mailings will be regular, smaller, more easily manageable and more affordable.

2. Your website says you do a lot events - make sure you sign up people at fairs to get more info, offers, join your special club etc. to build up your database. Because of the ethical nature of the products you sell, you should get a warm and positive response.

3. Your website itself is really good, and has a very good Page Rank if its only being going as long as you say it has. But it could do more to sign people up on the home page to join your fan club. And once again, because of your market, you should get more than average numbers of people willing to join.

Hope all this helps. If you want any more info let me know.

Good luck!
