This route is an real alternative to having a product "patented" which can be a time consuming and costly exercise. But still gives protection against an exact relpica appearing on the market.By Registering a design it covers the "look" of the product as opposed to the "workings" of the product which is something to consider.
Costs for the registration application are £60 and you have the option of delaying the publication of the product in the directory.
