Only just noticed this alv.....
a/ Value is more important than price - eg....if you sell a £50 car stereo...with a DVD "Extremely easy installation guide" ( costs £1 to throw in)...you may be able to charge £60 and still outsell those selling the same product at £50.. so adding additional bonuses to make your product different is important
b./ Everyone who has ever tested price, knows that the number 7 often increases response, sometimes by substantial numbers £47 outsells £49 etc...
c/The lowest price does not necessarily win where information is concerned. I have found cases where an ebook that would not sell at £17 , sells well at £37.. There are celevrated cases of nicholas;s book of Business forms, was a dead product at $20...and a blockbuster at $87... A guy called reynolds discovered he sold a lot more of the same course at well over £1000 than he ever did at £400
d/You once asked for comment on a computer repair site. I thought that the fact that all the prices were either £5 , £10 or £15...not £12.73 actually hurt the credibility of the site, and made it look like an experiment not a running businees
In the end, I think you should test price. Get a split testing script, and see which sells most
