Claiming VAT on laptop bought from Dell

Hi everyone,

I've recently aquired a small private limited company. It is my first business so still getting to grips with all the technicalities!

I need to buy a laptop for the business and planning on buying one from the dell site. Can i claim back the VAT as i'm not purchasing it from the business site? How would I do this?

Are you registered for VAT? That's the first and foremost prerequisite.

You can claim back anything you purchase for your business that has VAT charged on it - provided that you are VAT registered.

And you have valid vat invoice/receipt too.
