I've spent the most gorgeous sunny warm day inside doing my husband's VAT return. And have decided to go straight on an prepare the annual accounts, and sort out the sales, intercompany loan account, and the worst of all jobs, grossing up the auction sales.
Now, for some perverse reason that I cannot explain, I am actually making progress, and getting a sense of satisfaction out of this!!!
This cannot be.....
I can't be "enjoying" doing accounts......
HELP ME!!!
Accounts are just brilliant fun, as they do give you a sense of achievement. I do them for friends for free just because I like doing them
Sometimes I worry about myself
I would seriously worry about myself too!!!
But I must admit, if I get the accounts finished by the end of the month, it will be the bested January ever if I do. And that is a bloody big incentive to keep me going.
I have just completed my return - worst job in the world Well done on your achievements

Well, why not send as many Christmas ecards as you like for only £5.99, save a fortune, put your company name on the message and be green at the same time
Sandra - aren't you a chartered accountant? Maybe you have rekindled your love for numbers.
NEVER!!!
I was always a big picture girl me! Finding that £23.47 which puts the bank account out of balance was never my cup of tea. (In fact, I drank far too many cups of tea when that became my job!)
