Iam using the above with a computorised bookkeeping couse from college.I am new to computing.I need to back up my dailey work onto disc. What do yu recommend,floppy/cd disc.
Can you tell me how to back up my work onto this disc.
Definitely not floppy disks, as they are unreliable, virtually obsolete, and might not be big enough to hold the full backup.
Sage backups are not usually that big, so a CD, USB flash drive or emailing the files to yourself would be suitable. It would be good practice to keep a history of at least one backup per month, as well as your daily backup.
To make the backup, go to the File menu in Sage, and you should see the backup option. This will create a single backup file, usually called SAGEBACK.001, in the location that you tell it (eg, your hard drive, or your USB drive). If necessary, you can then copy this file to a CD.
