Another recommendation for Kashflow here. Very simple but does everything you need (and if it doesn't they're happy to look at what can be done). Very good price too.

I've had experience of Sage, MYOB, QuickBooks and various in-house systems too.
Kashflow however is the easiest to use and offers great flexibility - developed for the UK market.
Duane (Kashflow) knows his stuff and several accountant friends of mine have also used the software and are recommending it you their clients.

Intersting thread. I use an older version of QB with no problems. I may not bother upgrading judging by the comments on here. Is Kashflow suitable for all companies? For example would my accountant scream 'what the heck is that'? We process thousands of transactions every year and i know my accountants work with QB. It makes life easy as any problems/issues can be discussed easily by phone.

I use an accountant. I put all my paperwork into a box and give it to her every quarter for VAT. Not only that she does my payroll for my five staff every fortnight. Plus yearly tax return.

Costs £180 per quarter.

Im happy.

Kashflow here as well! I resisted it for so long thinking I'd rather download something and use it rather than an online program, but once I tried it I kicked myself for not trying it sooner. It is brilliantly easy to use, and I am also using a cart that is fully integrated with it so it is even easier! Worth every penny (which isn't a lot when you work it out per week and how much time it saves )
