New ethical directory with free listings for ethical businesses

Hi everyone

I’ve just discovered a1businessforums so apologies that my first entry is a bit of a plug - but it is for a free service that I hope will help ethically minded businesses and consumers.

I’ve just launched a new website - www.littlepurpledot.org . It’s an ethical directory that anyone can submit an entry to for free.

As an ethical consumer I've always found it time consuming searching through different websites and resources trying to find an ethical version of the product I wanted. Quite often I'd give up even though I knew someone out there must be selling it. This is why I've started this website.

Key features of the directory are:

· Users and business owners can recommend businesses for free
· Users can search by postcode, making it easier for them to find and support local businesses
· A full range of business type can be listed from shops and restaurants, to trades people and wholesale suppliers
· Entries are categorised by respected ethical standards e.g. Fairtrade, Soil Association Organic Standard etc, where they exist for the type of business
· Ethics categories allow users to search on issues that are important to them

So any ethically minded business owners out there please submit your business to the directory to help it grow into a really useful nationwide resource and help people looking for ethical products and services find you.
