    Default Hiring staff

    Hello

I'm currently trying to expand my business by hiring staff so I trade money for development (I can't be a one-man-band), however I don't know where to look for business developers/salesmen.

I live on the Isle of Wight and of course we have the standard local paper (County press) and we also have the Weekly ad but I don't know if I am able to advertise there since my business is very young. I would not be able to offer them a stable salary as it would be based entirely on how many jobs they acquire and the work they put in.

I put the task to a long-time friend but that has gone down hill and I learnt a good lesson - that is, if the person isn't already self motivated and/or currently working in the position you want them to be - then there is no hope and best to look elsewhere.

If anyone could give even the slightest bit of advice from a knowledgeable background I would be very grateful.

    Thank you.

business takes time to grow, just look in the newspapers or in the internet or post a notice in your business area for a staff that your searching for and if someone see it, make an interview arrangement with him/her and then train him/her to the position you wanted in your business for a week and then your business is running that's all..It's not necessarily ask him/her to pass a lots of requirements, educational background is enough coz that person is eager to learn and put some great effort in your business, after all that's why you hire him/her and In that person's mind is do her/his best on working with you coz nowadays It's hard to find a job

You most certainly can advertise in the press, if you are looking for staff, whether or not your business is large, small, young or old.

Your success, whichever method you choose, will depend on the attractiveness of the role, the package you are able to offer, offset by the available people.

Isle of Wight has a limited availability of labour, of course, but like every other part of the UK there are many redundancies there at the moment! And, of course, you can commute from the mainland!

At whatever level you are recruiting, the first thing is to be clear about the exact nature of the job, and the exact type of person you will need to carry out those dutes. Even in a new and small business, I would advocate that you prepare a job description and a form a clear view of the experience and qualifications that will be necessary to carry it out. Think also about how much training you would be able to provide - this will be a factor in how swiftly the new team member becomes fully productive.

It is tempting to skimp with recruitment. But expensive. With a clear view of who you need, it is easier to set out to locate them.
