Yes John, just was curious how you could tell. Was it because he put his name in full?
Certainly nothing to do with the name being in full. With no disrespect to Dominic (most of you know I like helping our younger members get started in business) just experience of the type of question, products involved and the response.
Anyway Dominic, please don't let that put you off being on here and seeking advise, I am sure you have a lot you can contribute too

I first met you Ben in the discussion about the log cabins and I was a fair way through debating that with you when I finally clicked and actually felt I had been a bit mean to you as I hadn't realised straight off - Hence PMing you. I don't know if I would have known if I had been around when you first joined. *shrugs*
Hope you saw my second reply in your running a business from home thread

Hey,
Don't worry, you weren't mean to me in the other thread, what use is advice if it isn't true. I appreciate the opinions of you and the rest of the members here and will accept any of them ,
Great attitude Ben, and not one that I always associate with 'younger' people.
It can be quite hard to take the 'harder' advice of older, jaded, cynics and sometimes experience doesn't mean you know the 'right' answer.
For example, if you post a 'brilliant' idea, I suspect half the 'oldies' here might give you all its negatives when in actual fact you may have your finger on something which we (god I hate saying 'we' in this context) haven't a clue about.

Thanks Cathy, I must admit that my attitude has changed somewhat since I first started buying and selling. I thought I could do no wrong, how wrong I was. Now I will make sure to check through and thoroughly research all business plans and ventures.
Still got a long way to go though before I can class myself in the same league as most of the members on here.
You will find it very hard to compete on price in the games console market. Also be aware that if you are selling Electrical goods you will need to be WEEE compliant which will cost you around £450+
All my best
