Default less is more for website content??

hello,
i need some advice please........

what opinions do you have on website content? im busy trying to write mine but im struggling...i have 2 products that i have developed which i am focussing on........

the problem i have is that i have so much to say about them as im so passionate, i dont know where to stop...and now im feeling that its just starting to sound .do potential customers really want to know "everything" about the product..or just benefits in bullet points?

its a product that potential customers would have maybe not thought about so needs explaining a bit..also i know pictures are important but how many are recommended on each page taking into consideration speed of load up........

my menu titles are:

Home - i have bullet points of the benefits to the user
All about us - company aims, short 2 paragraphs on my personal story of why i developed the product
The products - giving details of features ,dimensions, cost
Info for schools - specific info on why its useful in a classroom setting
Info for parents - specific info on why its useful for children to use at home
Secure online shop - only able to pay through paypal.....
What the professionals say - specific opinions from my professional contacts from around the world and research links
Contact us email, postal, telephone no and the facility to send a message....
Latest news - which will show press releases, any testimonials from individuals
Terms and conditions
Links

does that sound about right? and in the right order??

also does there need to be a Buy it now button on every page? or just a written call to action??

i will be posting it on here for all to see and comment on but i want to try and get it half right before i do that............
thank you...........xxx

you need to be expressing the benefits clearly and visibly on arrival on the page. You could then have a "more...." button which then takes interested readers to a separate page full of info they expect to read.

A call to action is critical! Whether this is a Buy button or something else, you need to seize that opportunity to make then whip out their wallet!

Good advice most important that people know straight away what your product is and have the option to buy straight away.

From an SEO point of view it is better to keep all product information on the same page .

search engines love text just make sure it is broken up into paragraphs easily read. Also use you main keywords with a frequency of about 6% throughout your text.

The engines are believed to read about 100KB of text before they cut off but I have never seen a conclusive test on this.

As i am SEO soul i would like to answer at that point of view.

its said in our industries that "Content is King" this is enough to close this discussion but i cant stop my finger to write some thing about it.

Whenever i am going to start new project i always check that how is content. better the content higher your visibility in search engine.

i am always trying to convert site as USER POINT OF VIEW and search engine automatically walking with me.

it is advisable to have targeted unique and more content it can satisfy user as well as search engine.

apart form this bold itialic, list(bullet, numberring ) in content is diffrent variation and it is also worthy

Alvin

That is another google myth.

Have a look at the cache of this page,
Website designers directory

You will see that the cache stops at a certain point.
But if you do a search for a unique phrase past the cut off point it is still found.

http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourc...UK%7CcountryGB

The cache cuts of at a certain point, but google still crawls and indexes
the whole page (over 870k)
