It is obvious that the internet has made a massive impact in the way millions of people shop, but one thing which has not quite been such a success is the purchase of footwear (particularly trainers) online. Is this perhaps because no company has targeted this area of the market? If people had a household website name in which they know they could log onto and buy shoes quickly and easily would this change the way people look at shoe shopping? There are obvious advantages to shopping on the high street but there are also advantages to doing it on the web but are people truely aware of these? Are you? Is this an area of the industry which could do well when marketed properly? Any help is appreciated
The mere fact that we like to try them on is surely a big factor.

A common practice by purveyors of certain meaty products is to create fake accounts on forums and open a discussion. After a while a second poster suddenly appears with an "ideal" service or product in relation to the original OPs post.
Now I'm not syaing for a minute that jamie8765 is a spammer (god forbid) but you do get a feel for these things...
I've started buying shoes online - but only ones where I'm buying a replacement pair in a size that I know will fit. I've had a couple of things through from startright and clarks in the run up to the schol term starting and am very unconvinced that buying kids shoes online is a good idea!
