Has anyone used Nochex (uk payment processor) ? If you have them intergrated to your website is it working fine.

we started off with nochex years ago, worked ok, but it wasn't widely reconised at the time, so made some users suspicious, or was at least the feedback we got, so we moved to streamline and Natwest.
Must admit, haven't noticed it on any sites for a while, but no doubt I'll see it everywhere now!
cheers Steve

We've integrated it into our eCommerce software but to be honest don't get a lot of demand for it...
Hi, I did an integration for NOCHEX years ago. It is really good. Better than stupid Paypal. They've been around for ages.
Not quite sure why people don't use them. When I used them, there were banding limits, that limit the scope/volume of your transactions.
Perfect for sole traders, no VAT, no merchant services. Very good. Cash in the bank. Welldone.

Hi,
We use NoChex for our magazine subscription renewals (as an option for those that don't want to pay by company cheque). We had a slight issue last year (their fault) but was fixed promptly and has been fine ever since.

No problems when I used it. Pretty straightforward at basic level.

I wouldn't Recommend them at all
In June when i set up my site i had a few customers ask if i took nochex. Finally i got round to phoning them up.
I asked them that i wanted a merchant account like paypal, Where i can get paid and then transfer funds to my bank.
Sure no Problem!! Pay your £50 admin fee and we'll set it up for you etc..
after 3 months and after nochex took over £1000 worth of my customers orders, i've still to recieve a penny, Even when i closed my account in disgust, they still say i have to wait for my £1000, for another 160 days (6 months)
So to be honest, NoChex have had my money since june 2009 and now they say i can't have it back til March 2010.
I'm currently taking them to the small claims court.
Please be carefull with them![]()
I have used Nochex for some time - it works well for me and my experience has been better so far that my experiences with PayPal were!
In relation to your comments 'Punched', I have just read your other thread and to be fair you made an error by signing terms that you hadn't read. As with all processors they have to hold back any monies for a fixed prescribed period when an account is closed to cover potential chargebacks and this is common practice... but don't worry - you will get your money back! My only advice would be to ensure you understand you read anything you sign. I too have a retained balance on my account and will have to wait for my money if I ever shut my account but if you understand the reasons for these things being in place, and read your terms you should have no problems.

Hi powerseller2009,
Thanks for your reply, however i was expecting a merchant account like paypal, they don't hold any money back and certainly not £1000+
Yes i should of taken my time and tried to understand all the pages of the contract, however when Nochex makes promises like, its the same as Paypal and sign quickly and you can start transfering money into your bank, you think your getting a service like paypal, Thats not the case, They Lie to you, to get the account open and then hang onto your money.
They said its for chargebacks, so they keep the cash, how do they expect the merchant to supply the goods if they havn't got the money?? lucky for me i used £1500 of my own money but what happens so say an online store with a dropship account, Someone pays by Nochex say £400 for a TV, The Merchant then has to find more money to buy the goods for the customer, in essence paying twice??
I can't see how this can be a successful Merchant acount, and its probablyn the reason they need to lie about the kind of service they are giving out. Once you've signed that form, your buggered
I been using paypal now and they deal with all my Merchant needs, My average transaction now is about £500, once thats in my account, i transfer the lot to my bank 3-4 days. Now thats some service.
Nochex know they can't compete with Paypal so they use underhand tactics to get customers.
Anyway i'm looking forward to March 2010 to getting back what i'm owed, so i guess thats something to smile about![]()
