Default How many products per page?

    Hi Guys and Gals

Just working away on my site and just wanted to ask a quick question regarding how many products I should be viewing per page. If you see the link below it has 30 products showing (set to show 50), is this too many?

    http://www.deviltronics.com/desktop-toys-c-223.html

Should I reduce it to 9 or 12 per page and then have a 'next page' link at the bottom?

Perhaps you could have it at 18 or 21 then the page will finish near the last graphic on the right "Join our Blog"

don't think it really matters though.... this is just a thought

The simple answer is the fewer the products per page the tighter the SEO and less scrolling for your visitor.

30 does look a bit much to me - I'm with Chubs - try 18-21

Ok, I have reduced the amount of product per page, reduced them to 12.

Can you have a look and see what you think.

The only thing I am concerned about is if the 'next' and 'prev' are clearer enough for the customers. I have added a bar at the top at bottom.

Looks easy to view to me, but I have to say that I do like the option to see all as I do hate skipping through loads of pages.

    Devil

Give people the option to pick how many they see.

When I am buying something with alot of related products (or stock art for example) I want to see/browse as much as possible for quick comparission.

If I am buying a specific item then less choice is better but I like to be able to say "i am just browsing i want to buy something....dont know what yet but I do" so let me see N products through to "I know I want black this with feature y" and show me the top ten.

Have a look at some of the large etailers out there and the way they channel users to product and the buying pattern. They litterally spend millions on focus groups, research and technical implementation.
