Heres my list

Pictures - Plenty of them, remember the customer can't feel or hold the product.

Really good discriptions.

Postage and Packing Prices clearly displayed.

A bit about the seller

Umm thats it at the moment, will come back after some chocolate and add

Eye - catching
How long it take's for the item to get to me
Easy to use
Not too much writing, but enough to get you point accross

Setting up my shop I went for plain and simple, I hate websites that have too much going on, I want to know what you are offering and the products that you have. Great photo's are a must! The about you page is also a very important part, if I feel that I connect with the person then I will buy, I'm fickle

It depends on what the website is trying to promote.

If its to sell products then lots of pictures even on the home page. I'd use DTs or FYPs sites as an example...

If its services then its got to be description, text, categories, themes, about, portfolio or show case etc...

Will try to think of some more.

A big bold bit saying who is handling my credit card details and a link to their information page - I am old fashioned and still very worried about bunging my card details in.

A good about you page, I really like to connect with the person and see they are a real live person not some nitwit trying to get rich on the net.

In addition to the above first rate advice above I'd add the secondary factor of credibility:

Privacy Policy, Testimonials, Terms and Conditions, Contact Details etc
