Ebay can be worthwhile, depends entirely on what you're selling though. Are you 2 going to focus on your main lines or run eBay as a 'Beer money' generator?

Thanks Fuzzy. I've been thinking about selling a few of my items on ebay just to drive extra traffic to my site. I'm just not sure I've got the time to set it all up with everthing else I've got to do.

Do people think it is beneficial to have a few things on ebay with a link to your site? I presume this is allowed is it?

I've just set an eBay store up for our company. We use it to sell dead stock or damaged goods.

It's going OK. I find we really need to slash the price on things to get them to sell though. Which isn't too much of a problem, we just need to get rid of most of these items.

Well no, actually it's not; eBay see it as taking business away from them by directing people straight to your site. You can however put a link in your About Me page if you have an eBay shop and, of course, once someone has bought from you on eBay you can then give them a link to your main site.

It is true that ebay doesn't allow to post a link that directs buyer to purchase stuff via other sites rather than via ebay. There are, however, many ways to make people to know about your site, e.g, like uploading your company logo and providing contact emails (service@yourcompany domain.com) that give people a clue of your website.

We open an ebay store and it really increase the traffic to our website.
