Well after chewing poor Phils ear off yesterday about my business domain name choices for the main site to be hosted on, I'd like to gather some opinions....
The first issue is with hyphens or without....I know without hypens is better in some respects regarding SEO, but with my business name I fear it reads wrong without (fillyourpants) and may be read 'filly' at first glance, and indeed by google
So I am thinking with hyphens may be best.
But then there is the issue of .co.uk or .com for the main hosted site for the business.... personally I prefer websites to read with a
.com, and the site will be hosted in the UK, but do others think I should go with the .co.uk?
Any input would be appreciated, I am rubbish at decisions
As far as I know, SEO wise, the hyphenated is better.
Your domain is not too long, but that extra character might get in the way on printed material.
fill-your-pants.co.uk
fill-your-pants.com
That being said, I do love the .co.uk if your market is UK centric. I would use pixelcraze.co.uk as the main domain if required, but we have an international base of clients.

I would go with the hyphenated version as the name is more clear this way.
With regard to .co.uk or .com. I would host the main site on the .com and just re-direct the .co.uk to the .com. Even if you are only supplying the UK market to start off with, the .com gives you the scope to expand to the international market if necessary.
