My eshop is up and running and traffic is slow (as is sales) .. we dont have bucket loads of cash to get it advertised. My partner want to open a ebay shop to help generate sales . I think the money would be spent on advertising the eshop.
Our eshop package is limited in its cross over to ebay as it wants to take customers away from ebay to palce an order ... did not know this when I signed up.
So what do we think folks .. good idea or not to have this ebay shop
Just had a quick look through eBay for a couple of your products and there doesn't seem to be much competition...may be worth testing the water trying to sell a couple of products on eBay perhaps before setting up an eBay shop?
It's not expensive, that's the thing. Do it for a couple of weeks, and it's only the normal sales/listing fees and £6. And you only have to do it for a minimum of a month. And if you put a few of the most desireable items on ebay on auction/buy it now, and then more of your items in your ebay shop under the "inventory" listing this will help minimise your listing costs.
And use the old fashioned flyer in the box, so any repeat customers come to you direct rather than to ebay.

It's good idea to get some sales at ebay but you should work on this clients to make them customers of your store. And work on store SEO also. There are a lot of free ways to promote store. Also i see you are using store with url that isn't good for SEO. What platform do you use?
