eBay charge you listing fees and a final value fee, and you have to offer PayPal with your listings, and PayPal, is an eBay company, who then charge you 3.4% and 20p
So really the only winners on eBay are the directors and owners...
Yep, but you achieve a worse selling price on their than Amazon .
Ebay is a place that people go for a bargain, Amazon people go to to buy something they need, and are prepared to pay the retail price for it.
TBH, eBay is now just full of drop shippers, scammers and people selling information about "how to get rich online"... and the actual way to get rich through ebay is to sell a pdf saying sell this pdf on e bay with the words "buy now to find out a long researched secret about how to get rich selling on eBay"

I know a person who did something similair.
He did an auction as the normal get rick quick idea, sent off an envelope with a scrap of paper that just said 'Do what I do'
I just discovered this new fee by accident. I paid for something using PayPal and it debited my account twice so I had to get the company to credit one payment back to me. I logged in to my account to check that it had gone back in and discovered PayPal had taken a slice of the action.
That's the last time I ever use PayPal to pay for anything!

It seems to work all right. We've not used it long but it's easy to build your shop. It's also not too expensive - you can choose the level you want depending on what you want to do. (The free version is no good if you want to accept payments but the paid for levels are reasonable)
