As I am attending some baby fairs later this month, Im thinking about taking money I get a virtual terminal with Protx, so would it be possible to say, take my laptop to the fair and take card payments that way??

Worth looking at this. One of my clients uses this, and is v happy with it in general.

If the event area doesn't have 3G Mobile access, then it could be a bit slow.

Cheques & Cash might be the best option initially?

I think 3 do one for £10 a month, I use vodaphone, £25 a month but a big download limit, they are great, saves loads if you travel a lot
