Worldpay Account Reserve REALLY high :(
Hi all.
I have applied to Worldpay for an account based on their startup business special offer. I have received an email stating that in order to set up the account there will need to be a reserve put on the account of £10,000!!! This to me is absolutely rediculous. My PERSONAL credit history isnt great due to being involved in 2 car accidents, but even so, to apply that to a STARTUP business sounds like they WANT the business to fail! I wanted to use Paypal Pro (setup already) and Worldpay as they offer the all in one merchant account and payment processing. Any thoughts? Many Thanks Gary

Yeah Worldpay isnt the greatest. I just use PayPal for our shop - so easy and quick!

I always feel that Paypal is a 'must have' addition to the payment options, but not the MAIN solution. Hmmmm.........

Is this for customers to pay for your website design services or do you have e-commerce sites needing these options?

I use WorldPay and to be honest it's not as good as people might think.
Have you thought about using Protx? KP

Cant use Protx as I would need a merchant account with my bank (and my useless bank manager has said that wont happen)
Nochex looks ok. I am ideally looking to keep all the payment 'on website' as opposed to redirecting to hosted payment pages Gary
