Anyone familiar with Miva Merchant?

I'm developing a site for a client and its really giving me a headache!

The support forums are constantly down and the documentation for the software is crap.

I can even get simple things to work on the site such as 'view cart' or 'checkout'. Any help would be much appreciated.

This client is pretty is stuck on using that becuase of the way the business is being run.

Is there any developers out there who would be interested in taking this on and adding the finished bits and pieces?

Yes, that's saying something when I say it's worse than OSCommerce.

It will and would be far more cost effective to buy a complete e-commerce solution such as OpenMind than to hire a coder to take hours butchering MIVA's code.

Then perhaps you need to go back and look over what you originally agreed to do and decide whether you are doing the job you agreed to do or whether your client has sprung a surprise on you that you should not have accepted.
