How to create a Favicon? Having problems.

I am trying to create a Favicon, have made an image 16x16 pixels and saved it as an .ico file then uploaded it my root folder.

But the damn Favicon doesn't show.

Could somebody kindly help!

Did you call the file "favicon.ico" ??

Ok - you need to link it in your header (or get Khalid to do it). this is the code on my header at A Local Printer

The favicon on our main site is ok, but for some reason our WordPress Blog one doesn't work..any ideas?

Well done for getting the links up. I'm not sure why your favicon is not showing - you have a path in the header but it may not be correct?

We need a coding expert to sort this one methinks

That will work with FF but not IE because .ico is a special windows file format with more info than a normal image, so you have to convert it to a .ico rather than just changing file extension.

yes, I think the path is incorrect. I have played around with it but still can't get it to display on the Blog page. Will keep trying..Thanks
