    Default Google Checkout Fee Hike

    Anyone seen this?
    https://checkout.google.com/seller/f...ml?hl=en&gl=GB

This puts GCO oa a par with PayPal's fees.

They must have reached a critical mass of users. It was always going to happen but I'm surprised their fees are quite so high

I really don't understand Google's 'failure' at thier payment processing system. Seemingly they hold the monopoly on browser use, so why didn't they advertise it there? Talk about the solution staring them in the face...

I have both Google & Paypal on my site but i think it's Google who is going to get the boot as it's just not as good as Paypal for the same money now.

Just out of curiosity, what is the percentage split between Google Checkout and Paypal purchases on your site?

I just built my new website and spent ages adding google checkout in addition to a paypal option.
I was rather hoping people might have used google ckeckout instead of paypal, now I'm not so sure.
I've never had anyone pay with google checkout on my ebid shop so have no experience of how it works
I don't know whether just to take it off as an option now!
