The first I heard of TATA was when I was in India last year - almost all of the vehicles we came across in Rajhasthan were made by TATA (including the Tuk Tuk's)
I'd be keen to see one of these cars - they sound like they are an IT Geek's dream too.

Wasn't their supposed to be a breakthrough quite recently in the storing of hydrogen atoms, to help power cars, Far from completion but a step in the right direction, Or was it a weird dream ?
Its own energy source Andy, you mean an electrically powered compressor, but where is there a power point on the motorway, how about a petrol engine powered compressor? Would it perhaps be more efficient to drive the vehicle with the petrol engine and junk the compressor and tank?

my thoughts are that there is too much at stake from the big world players to let it happen worldwide. It really depends on how much the leaders are willing to fight to let it happen, Bush for one is in bed with the oil companies, do you really think he'll want this to happen?
Had a bit more of a think about the compressed air powered vehicle.
Surely the amount of energy required to compress the air is the same as for a petrol driven car.?Energy is energy and apart from wind or wave generation the price of generation is the same.?
