Default What do you think of electric cars?

We are in the process of writing a book on the subject of electric cars.

The book will be about the experiences of owning and using electric cars and will be published early next year.

As part of the book we are also interested in knowing people's perceptions of electric cars. The information will be used - anonumously of course - in order to ensure the book covers the subject fully and to ensure that people's questions and concerns are answered.

It would be helpful if people could spend a few minutes filling in an online survey for us. We are specifically interested in getting the views of people who do not use an electric vehicle.

    Here is the link: http://www.smart-survey.co.uk/v.asp?i=15286elcfk

    Many thanks

I completed the survey and look forward to my free copy of the book

It's the first 'anonymous' survey I have completed that required my name!

...speaks for itself really I would have thought. Peoples perception is very important when writing a book to dispell myths and beliefs that aren't true etc.

If you read the original post carefully it doesn't say the survey is anonymous, it says the information taken from it will be used anonymously.

That's true I suppose... Just not a fan of electric cars as a saviour for the personal transport issue.

Neither am I at this very moment in time- I don't think the infrastrusture isn't there to support the concept yet although in theory I do think they're a great idea...just not at this very moment in time. More work needs to be done by the government to make things easier for people if they really want them to take off and become the norm!

Infrastructure is an issue, but building them is a bigger one. Along with all the dangerous chemicals that are needed for the batteries.

I think the electric battery car is a waste of the environmentalist or governments energy.

Look at other energy sources for cars, that would be a better solution.

Obviously they would still need to be built, but with say a hydrogen car the ommissions would be zero and you could refuel at a petrol/hydrogen station.

So it would be more user friendly.

Best solution is start to think more locally, and maybe buy a bike..!!
