Default Getting rid of old PC's

I have a small collection of old PC's building up.

Obviously I don't want to take them to the local tip. However I also don't want to spend a small fortune getting rid of them.

I'm reasonably happy that I've removed any confidential data so I just want to be able to dispose of them cheaply and ethically.

    Any ideas?

    Ta

    Mike

I'd use Freecycle every time Mike

Your old machines will get used again - not thrown away

    Ray,

How dumb am I. I've been a member of that for ages and did not even think of it.

I suppose it's because both PC's are very old and one is definitely broken, so they felt like rubbish rather than recycleable.

It's easy to overlook what is staring you in the face - broken or not they will have a use for it

You can still use them if you want (depending on the specs)

When donating old computers I always remove the hard drive and take a hammer to it , that ensures there is no way to get at that confidential data!!!
