    Default Low Energy Computers

You could always replace your computer systems with modern low energy systems. They use a fraction of the power of an old desktop system, yet still do the same job.

If you look on google, there is a company called 'Go-Green-PC' that sells low energy systems online.

The web host I use is carbo-neutral. See www.3dpixel.net.
I couldnt see anything that stated they are carbon neutral, can you point out where for me please.

It seems strange, if i managed to be carbon neutral, id be screaming it from the rooftops (maybe with a solar powered megaphone!)

    Andy.

I have found a website called who supports eco, the site enables people and companies to upload a image/logo to a eco wall of fame. The wall then shows every eco supporter with links to either there business or social networking website. This will then become a piece of environmental internet history. This seems a really good idea for supporting the environment. I think a certain amount of the cost of who supports eco goes towards 3 eco charities, this site is great as you can show you are a supporter of the environment whilst also contributing too...let spread some awareness!

This is only a green option if the old system is finished in terms of its use. Otherwise its just more into the landfill

    Default Be greener by...

    Hi there

I'm not entirely sure if there are any associations that you can join to help highlight the greenness of your business. But I do know of one way you can make your business that little bit more environmentally friendly.

You mentioned that you realise you can be more green by not printing emails out as often. Another way that you can help your business be green and save money at the same time is by refilling your printer cartridges instead of buying new ones. I refill my cartridges at cartridge world. I like to do his because I get a sense of satisfaction knowing that I'm doing my bit towards saving the environment, and it helps with my finances too!

When you have to do so, drive economically - plan well ahead, ease off the gas earlier and roll into junctions rather than smalling on last minute. Check tyre pressures regularly too.
You'd be more green by using public transport though.
Accufleet Driver Training - we offer company driver risk assessments to help firms comply with Health&Safety regs along with fleet driver training.

Recycling from the office? Getting staff to use both sides of the paper when printing, truning off lights, turning the heating down, using energy saving light bulbs. There are lots of really simple things that all add up.
