The price thing is a massive issue, but to me it is also a non issue, ethically sourced foods and the like generally cost a little more purely as they are not ripping people off (as much ) as others. they cost more to produce, or take longer to progress naturally or the growers are given fair prices
I agree Mike, it was just that I saw the danger of losing a lot of the potential market by appearing unattractive on price. As Diverse says, this hamper is for a high end magazine, so the price thing is probably not going to be as important as I thought it might.
As a consumer I always like to look out for eco-friendly products, but price sometimes affects my decisions. In the long term the best solution will be when the big companies develop a fairer system of global trading, so that poor suppliers are not forced to remain in poverty. Unfortunately, a lot of consumers don't care that much about people in India or China living in slave labour conditions, but developing a guilty conscience about such things can change markets.
We are asked for particular dietry requirements from time to time. I will store your details coe114c and give some thought to a new website section based on this service.
Thanks Diverse, I'm sure we can work together on this.
Helen
