Future Friendly awards

I just found out yesterday that a friend of mine, Doug McLaren, had been nominated for a Future Friendly award when I dropped by his recycling social enterprise in Dundee and found the TV cameras there. The item has just been on TV, but I think I managed to avoid being filmed.

It's good to see him recognised as a local champion and the winners are being announced tonight at a dinner in London. Knowing Doug, he probably started cycling down the A1 yesterday as he won't be flying!

I don't suppose this is the same event that you are going to, Sarah?

Yes, the sock crisis was resolved and the fashion show was a triumph last night.

The students had certainly all worked their multicoloured socks off to put such a fantastic event together and it was great to see some Frockery accessories on the catwalk complementing such cutting edge outfits.
