Virtually waterless washing machine

I wonder what effect this technology will have on the clothes themselves. Ie being what looks like an abrasive style of cleaner, does this mean clothes won't be as strong, last as long etc?

I use cloth nappies and I can't see there being any way that I could get them clean with a machine like that. Might be good for other stuff, but the water is needed for the nappies.
