You mentioned you guys plan to sell anything and everything, how do you plan to source all these products?

I ask because right now I can think of only two ways.

    1) Dropshipping
    2) Affiliates

Dropshipping is a very good alternative to keeping the inventory (which will also be more expense) but the bad points is that you are reling on the company to get that product out and to your customer on time.

Affiliates would be another good channel to look at. The only problem with that is you earn a % of the item rather than setting your own price and to be fair, you will probably have a load of affiliate accounts because, as it stands, I don't know of one affiliate network that deals solely with green/eco/organic products.

So you could end up with 100+ affiliate accounts.

If it was me, I would probably used a mixture of them both to start with with a long term view of buying your own inventory.

Or you could simply go to Google/Yahoo/Live and type in..

    Solar products suppliers
    Recycling products suppliers
    Energy efficient products suppliers

Which should give you everything you need and want.

this all sounds very interesting, i run an eco blog called minkbaby and it is difficult to pin down just what to discuss. Considering ECO is the opposite of purchasing, i think that people still need to buy things (that they need) and so if those products are Green, then all the better.

Goodluck and i would love to see the finished article

If you are looking at fair trade, are you considering organic too? The organic production of cotton is just as important as the fair trade, because of the impact the chemicals have on the workers. Just a thought.

As i have said in a previous post, we do recycled and eco friendly office supplies and general stationery - i would be happy to either provide you on a trade discount basis or if you wish; put you onto some suppliers in this area.

Would be interesting to hear how you're getting on now, as this thread is over a year old. I am interested in who you're target market is? Are you selling B2B?

Being green or greener is our message to everyone, all we need to do is spread the word "one step at a time" is our motto.
Its a pretty good business too, we promote the products AND make a difference.
    Doesnt that sound worthwhile?
