Branding A1 : The colours

I wanted to start a new thread to cut the drivel from the old one.

We want custom colours on this forum right? We must be different to the rest out there coz we are simply going to be no.1

What will the colour scheme be? Will help my logo design.

So far....Blue, Teal, Grey/Orange...

Also who can help with our custom colours?

Blue is the only colour to go for.

Ok reasons.

1. blue is the colour that represents trust in the mind of the visitor .now thats a fact

2 .familiarity people are used to seeing this blue display on many many forums.

3 people don't care how your site looks as long as it is clear to use.

as it is established that a site navigation goes on the left.so it goes that blue is the colour for forums and authority sites.

The only area that you can make the site different is in the title area.

and I am sure you will do something special in Blue

I quite like dark purple. Quite regal/royal

Ok boys and girls.

After discussing this further with Ray, we have decided to experiment with the main colour of the forum being blue. We will add a splash of colour into it ie nice looking shade of green - the zesty and snazzy type.

Will recreate the forum skin by experimenting with some colour combinations and then will post it on here to get everyone's opinion. Is it Khalid that will confirm if the proposed design will work in reality ie back end programming?

Logo - We have sketched some ideas down on paper. Will work on this a little over the weekend/next week. Again, we will post it on here to see what you think.

To get the best out of us, I have involved Daniel in the brief. This is certainly a VIP project for us as not many clients/people have both our attentions. It will be great I am sure.

Hope to have something to show you all by the end of next week without fail.
