I'd suggest a donation scheme which is shown for all to see, by donating you get access to the private areas of the forum, this donation can be from £1 up to £50. At the end of each year 25% goes to the upkeep of the forum for the following year and the remainder goes to a charity from a choice that is then voted by its members.
After a brief read of the thread, i agree with Ray regarding keeping it free membership and see where it goes in the initial months, say perhaps 12 months.
I also think it a good idea regarding having made so many posts before entitlement into a private forum.
I also think if someone advertises on the site Ray should charge for this and utilise the money which he thinks best for the community. Or a couple of jars down the pub if he fancies
Soz, im waffling on but there has been great ideas from everyone on this thread
PS, Pete, have you any spare tenners you could send this way ?
Fuzzy up for advertising ...............Ray .........any thoughts ? as long as it's not £10 pc
