New posts feature still not right

We discussed the New Posts link in the first few weeks and decided
the Today's Posts link is much better.
Would it not be a good idea to remove the New Posts link now?
Anyone who doesn't know better may be missing posts.

I'm actually the opposite and never use the Todays Posts link

But then my frequency of visits may be higher then others. I don't have an issue with it being removed personally but I missed the convo as to why it should be?

I always use New Posts because of my frequency too. I think the different options suit different needs. Im not sure what it will achieve or improve, by removing New Posts.

I use Todays Posts and My A1BF (to check all my subscribed threads) - but some prefer New Posts as this thread is demonstrating.

The difference with New Posts is that once you have read the post it disappears from your New Posts list - which disorientates some, but others prefer.

On that basis, maybe best to leave it be?

Try replying to this, and then clicking new posts.
You will no longer see the thread.
If you use Todays posts, the thread will still be there.

Totally agreed - that's why I don't use it as per my previous post.

But some members seem to like it.

New Posts is not visible to guests BTW

I'm another New Posts user and I would love it if the posts I read didn't disappear, it confuses the hell out of me.

Ray, I think it's the New Posts that is not visible to guests.
