The only thing that comes to mind is that when you start up, you try and post a link. You are then told that you cannot post links which is fair enough but then you go back to your message which has been deleted.
I typed quite a long message which I had to redo. In saying this, the up side is I always remember to copy and paste before submitting a form.

we dont hard delete any posts or threads so if you ever need to extract something just ask. we can still view them to cut n paste anything and send it to you. They are just deleted from the viewing, not physicially altogether.

Personally Id steer clear of any live chat system as it means people chat and if the software doesnt allow it then the content isnt saved anywhere, so the content is lost.

better to stick to a simple threaded forum imo

That's my opinion too - if you want live chat use MSN etc

I think also, it might reduce the posting too, especially the banter.
