A member should be able to edit their own post within 24 hours. Newbies with less than 15 posts cannot.
If it is not working as such, please let me know on this thread

Why is it someone with less than 15 posts cannot edit later?
It seems to be a rule with very little benefit to anyone, unless I'm missing something?

Joking aside, It doesn't help those "newbies" who spot a mistake but can't edit it, and then for that post to be viewed and read by many others as part of their introduction to this site (and community). Also not forgetting just how picky some people can be about spelling, and also first impressions. I can't see how this works as a method of stopping spam, surely educating the members in the usage of the Report Post button would be better?
