    Default Tags??

    Please dont tell me we are gonna have to put up with loads of threads appearing with loads of tags?:sad1: that's just overload!

    Yes I personally think the tag feature is a step too far!
    I'm personally not a big fan of all the extra 'features' in the member profile section, but its easy to live with, think vB are trying to be too much like a social network... stick to being a forum vBulletin!!!

    Well, I agree. However, it's useful to tag a thread with something that might not necessarily be within the content, but along the same lines, and will then get picked up by the forum search.

    yeah I know but plenty will - anyway they've disappeared now - I meant all the tags appearin in the index not in the bar below the post. If the index is going to list every post with the tags thats what I meant by overload - it ws SueMaddocks post that pointed this out. I cant see them in the index listing now though

    Ah! That was due to a missing image - the threads with a tag on have a small tag icon to the right of the title. Mouseover to see the tags

    The tags help tremendously with user searches so it is more a user benefit as well as being an SEO one
