Naming and shaming is a very grey area unfortunately so at this time we don't allow it on A1 simply as we could be held responsible for the publication of possibly untrue accusations.
We had someone attempt this in one of our Blog comments yesterday. It was removed instantly.
Unfortunately stories have 2 sides and as Phil says, it can be a very grey area when such accusations start getting made - much fairer to stay away from it - and stick to recommendations!
And it's the forum owners than can be held liable for allowing it to be displayed, not just the member who can be sued for potential defamation.

That is a good reason and I fully agree its a so so type of thing most want on forums, but don't forums that have the RA rule something of "We are not liable for writers posts, they are" would that be something that covers the forum owners?

I think we can all think of an instance when we would like to name and shame, so we do sympathise none the less. But saying something on a forum will not stop the problem so it achieves nothing except venting your own anger or annoyance. But that bit of light relief can backfire.
