    Default Posting Requirements

I posted on the pr/company news section about a mention we had in the Telegraph (about three days ago). It would appear that this was not approved?

Can someone please explain to me:

    1. How long it takes to have such posts approved (maybe 3 days is too short)?
    2. What the guidelines are?

    Thanks

    Hi

well we moderate on a as and when we can basis as we are volunteers though where we state will get back to you on something, it is usually pretty quick, however, we are not able to always PM in every instance, especially where we have stickies available with the info.

Unfortunately, your post was simply a link to a website with your news article. That forum is to post actual press releases or news articles (not links or short bits of info).

If you read my sticky in general forum, you will see some guidelines in there.

This also needs to go in the Feedback forums not in private forums so I will move it over shortly.

Honestly, I don't see what was wrong with that. It had to be short because I did not want to rehash the post. It was a piece of what I consider to be good news. How was I supposed to write it then? Copy and paste?

The purpose of the press release area is to provide a platform for users to post full and valid press releases for their company.

You can't just post a link to a press release already posted elsewhere...

Thanks Phil. One last question then I'll shut up. Where should one post such info? If Openmind was mentioned anywhere in the press and you wanted to share this info, where would you post?

Well there is a difference really in highlighting the fact you have been mentioned in the press and your own submission to the press.

For the former I would simply post in general business that you have been mentioned in the press, why this is a good ting and what you hope to gain. The latter is a release by your own company to the press to it should go in the Press Release forum.

    Hope this helps
