I think "A1" should be reduced in size by about 25 - 35%
Yes, can work.
Sounds good

The colours are still too bright (for the skin) and need more contrast - at least as dark as version 2.1 but preferably a bit darker still
Will play around with colours. This is normally a secondary process unless the project required a colour match but I didn't think that this was the case.
Wasn't after any colour matching, just darker shades so the skin has enough contrast and will be using the blue and green for skin text which needs to be dark enough to read easily

Not at all keen on the font used for "Business Forum" - my favourite font from these drafts is v1 - more business like
Yes, totally agree. We can play around with it or create a unique font which is more business like.
No need to create a custom font - that would be way too much to ask

Agreed it should be "Forums" to match the url in use
Yes, true!

Once we have picked our preferred style, it will be developed further with more choices for you good people to review.
Thank you so much Kay - #4 is looking fave at this stage I'd say
Ive been away most of today, come back, and reviewed and instantly changed my mind and now vote for No. 4 too.
My only comment is the numbr '1' in A1 doesnt quite look like a 1. Looks like a reversed 7 to me.
I agree that a map of the UK does restrict growth if there ever was a plan to go global and proactively involve other countries, this wouldnt then be appropriate.
However, something about the map did instanty give the brand a bigger, uk-wide feel to it.

I love version V04, but am not sure about the A1 bit on it - I think the bottom of the logo extends a warm welcome feeling to it
I agree with the above comments. V04 is my favourite but the A1 on the top doesn't sit right with me at the moment. I've seen the other designs in a lot of places and V04 gives a warm friendly welcoming feel.
I also think it works well as a button, badge etc for future marketing of the forums.
If the A1 can be placed inside the border I think that may help. Also maybe some darker colours but still blue and green?
*edit*
Maybe I should have read the entire forum before posting as I see my comments are old hat and already being worked on.
Good job Kay / Daniel, the options you produced are ace.
Can't wait to see the finished article.

Thank you for taking the time to give suggestions for #4 - and to show it is a mock up helps to develop the concept further
Can I make a suggestion:
It's an equal vote between #1 and #4, but I'm no longer keen on #1 for reasons stated earlier in the thread.
On that basis may we agree to fine tune #4 and go with that?
