I agree with you to a certain extend Alvin. I like to think im involved with a very good franchise company, one which i would happily recommend.
I have read horror stories regarding many people losing alot if not everything.
I like to believe franchising is a very good way to start up if you have no knowledge in your chosen business venture. Yes its much more expensive to start up than going it alone.
One major piece of advice i would recommend to anyone going down the franchise route is to carry out your research of the company, their existing franchisees and the market place, then do more research and to top it off, a bit more research until your totally happy with what your signing into.
I know what you mean. I've been hanging fire ... as I didn't want to be seen as being on my high horse about how great some franchisors are!!
I have asked my franchisees to join ... but so far only one seems to have managed (they're obviously all too busy).
Ray ... I know I said I'd contact some franchisors .... I just haven't had time yet ... sorry... I will soon ... promise!
Speak soon.

Hmm, i thought there may have been more interest in this thread apart from little old, oops i mean young, me.
Saracen i am also a franchisee with the same company as you. This is the best time to join BE and when word gets around south of the border, which slowly but surely it is, then we will really feel the benefits up here. Hows things going with your shop anyway?? Is subway opened up there yet?
