    Default Some advice needed...

    Hi all,

I'm a newly set up health and safety training provider. Does anyone have any ideas how to approach potential clients with the offer of "dreaded" health and safety courses?!?
I'm offering First Aid, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, Forklift, Food Safety etc.

    Regards

    Ross

    Hello Ross,

That is a tough one, as I am guilty of simply throwing away adverts such as these. I think it may be worth walking around your local businesses with maybe a few pamphlets or business cards. It's more friendly and your allot harder to throw in the bin.

Its time consuming and you will not hit as many people as a mail shot (What I get most of in this field) but I think the return will be greater.

This is how I would go around it anyway :- )

    Hope I helped in someway!

    Hi Alex

Thanks for the reply. To be honest I hadn't really given that option much thought. Do you think that's the best way to go?? You don't think I might get in people's way if I turn up at their place of work?

You should be applying a raft of marketing approaches, testing to see what works best for you. Take a look here Marketing Activity Plan and see which ones you can realistically implement and follow through.

Personally, I'd use fear. Just call people up, ask for the health and safety officer and scare them in to buying from you. Do it properly and they'll even thank you for it.

fear is a good one (Ben's on a roll today!)

...and also what about those that are (blissfull!y) ignorant of the rules and regs (you know, like A1 newbies that try and post a special offer without reading the rules first )
