Default How to get rich by Felix Dennis keypoints

Just finished "How to get rich" by Felix Dennis. Some important lessons I learned from this book:

-It's best to start the business alone in order to save time.
-Analyze it very well before going public with your company.
    -Delegate
-Failures are only failures because the mistake are corrected too late.

What else am I missing? I'm sure there's something.

If you start it alone, how are you meant to delegate? Just joking of course, this is all excellent advice, I'd add to that that the most valuable thing you can do is learn from your mistakes, and not be afraid to move backwards.

Recently, I had a financial issue that meant we had to halt growth and consolidate for 2-3 months, even backtrack a little to cover ourselves. I've learned a lot from that, including keeping a cool head and understanding that something isn't a failure, you've just bitten off more than you can chew. Reassess, re-evaluate, and don't be afraid to backtrack, to move forward in the long run!

It was actually a pretty good read.
I quite liked how he said we are all irrelevant when it comes to the size of the universe - but for a brief moment a little rat will be rich (or something along those lines.)
The most important thing i learned was about Fear.
It stops us from taking risks, it should always be respected but it should not be allowed to stop you. (i found it interesting.)

Ooohh like the sound of the delegation part, that's what I'm here for (plug business, plug business!!). Will have to give it a bit of a read so I can quote it for a blog, I've just written one on the importance of delegation in a business. Thanks

I read this book a few years ago too, it was great. I especially liked the bit at the beginning where he explains how many people you're really competing with to get rich!

He is definitely right about the young being rich and trying to have some purpose to life.
Rachel elenaughs book on business disasters is even better. Very good advice. The other dragons just did self serving drivel.
