I'm going to be moving premises soon and will have to go through the hassle of catching up with a lot of companies to update the address.

It's going to be quite simple with suppliers, the bank, BT, company house etc but how do I update it with Royal Mail itself who I believe hold it in a database.

What I am on about for example is I placed an order on a website last week. They had this 'find address by entering postcode'. When done my company name came up and I selected that. How do I update where ever this database is.

I hope you understand what I am on about, as I haven't explained it very well!

You simply set up a mail redirection service (typically for a year) which will ensure anything sent to your old address will automatically be redirected to your new address and this will also trigger an update of the Royal Mail database.

Currently for businesses you have to fill out a form and take it to your post office.
