Default TV Advertising

Hello,

I have a question to ask everyone, and in particularly to anyone who may have advertised on TV before.

If, for example, your business had the opportunity to advertise during a programme that was dedicated to what you sold / manufactured how much would you be willing to pay? (so in other words, your target market is watching)

The programme is on 3 times per week, and each programme lasts 30 minutes.

It is available on sky and free-view so it is widely accessible, and the programme has Approximately 80,000 - 100,000 viewers per week.

How much would you pay a week for a 15sec ad, and a 30 sec ad?

many thanks, and look forward to hearing your comments

Unles someone knows the rates, 99% of people cannot begin to ask that question. You have to go by the rates being charged, and negotiate a deal from there based on your spend, like any form of advertising. Factors like day of the week, time of day, and in between which programmes and on which channel, can also affect the cost, as well as frequency, total budget spend, etc.

The cost depend upon the cost of the product which i am selling and weather the advertisement is able to create a brand awareness or not .Teleshopping ads have great response for that i can pay good amount.

Hello All,

Thanks for you reply.

I dont think I explained the question very well - its been a long week!!!

Basically, I am in the middle of setting up a TV programme which is dedicated to a particular sport - and we are working out prices to charge potential companies who wish to advertise with us.

The programme will be aired at 6.30, so it wont clash with "prime time tv" on other channels. It will be viewed by 100,000 people - and only the people who play the sport will watch it, due to the nature of the channel it is broadcast on.

So if you all had that opportunity to advertise at a fixed rate, no matter what the product / service was, how much would you being willing to pay (per programme) for a 15second ad? - I am just adding your thoughts to the research we are compiling elsewhere.
