We send a CD with the design files to our clients. Enclosed in that is our mini brochure, thank you letter, business card etc. They will soon receive a VIP card from us entitling them to a discount every time they return.
Free gift from a design agency? hmmm thats interesting. What would you expect to receive from a design company apart from the above?

I usually ask the client if they want/need me to send a CD of the artwork. Most prefer me to just be custodian and pass it on when they require it.
Some clients demand it. haha

Its always best to send the CD anyway imo. It shows courtesy and also say that their files are always backed up so even if they misplace the disk, they can always come to you and ask. Secondly, it gives them a chance to keep marketing material about your company. A business card in their card holder is simple and effective.

Great one admagic. Upsell yes without sounding too pushy. Make them want to/need to come back to you for future orders.
The hidden page thing is a great idea. Certainly more cost effective than what we are doing but I wonder what that special offer would be given a service based business other than a discount.

If you have just done a logo for someone...then offer them some really class logo branded physical items,
They will be proud of their new logo you hope...so offer them logo branded HIGH VALUE stuff for the company meeting room....eg glass engraved stuff? logo in a perspex cube?? ornaments? that can be on show in their reception or meeting rooms. Massive banners for exhibitions with the new logo?? Flags??? Logod executive document cases?
MDs are suckers for this stuff, once they have a new logo, they want to show it off to everyone!!!
BTW...dont mess around with low value logo keyrings...theres no margin...
