Default How do you package items ?

Ok, how do you send your stuff to your clients?

We send in a Jiffy bag with freebie inside and then a printed label on the outside.

I have seen an example where a business put a tick chart on the outside of the box which was really funny - think I will do the same.

Also seen some wonderful labels and packaging tape.

How do you do yours ?

Well, why not send as many Christmas ecards as you like for only £5.99, save a fortune, put your company name on the message and be green at the same time

Don't know what you mean by a tick chart? Smaller packages I send in an Eco-Poly Jacket and bigger ones in a box, both with a document enclosed envelope on the front. Bit boring really

I'm quite lucky as most of my stuff is squashable (bedding, curtains etc) and so it can be packed in a blue mail sack.

I do have some gifts ... I bubble wrap them and put them in a box with those cheesy whatsits (polystyrene chip filler thingies).

I have clear parcel tape and sticky "documents enclosed" wallets that the invoice fits in nicely showing the address.

I'm really fussy about my packing because I order a lot of stuff over the net myself and get really miffed when things arrive squished ... at the mo I'm the only one doing the packing so I have more control over it (yes I am a control freak ) but packing is actually the only thing about the business that I could quite happily do with out

A tick chart:

Something like:

Packed by an expert (tick)
Checked for humour (tick)
Sealed with a hug (tick)

I love the idea of the checklist thing.

I love receiving Lush products as they have little stickers on the products with a cartoonish picture of a person and their name, very unique.

As I use a dropshipper I feel left out of the packing bit, especially as I love packing/wrapping things. OOOhhhhh maybe I could offer my packing/wrapping services to people

You're on ... will you work for home made muffins and all the tea you can drink?

If that's not enough to sway you there will be plenty of cuddles on offer from my puppy who gets miffed when I'm working and climbs up on to my knee

I absolutely hate packing, I don't do it anyway but if I have to, then it drives me mad.

Though when I do the packing on a rare occassion, I do the job well, took a little while to get the employee trained for perfection.

To pack we use:
  • Jiffy Bags
  • Mail Sacks
  • Boxes
  • Bubble Wrap
  • Void fill, (the air bags) (machine cost £2k)
  • Custom Printed Tape
  • Fragile Tape
  • Clear Wide Tape
  • Clear Narrow Tape
  • Brown Tape
  • Pallet Wrap
  • Packing Note with Tick boxes and area for signature of person packed it
  • A flyer with 5% off next order
  • Dymo address labels (for royal mail, have machine)
  • Thermally printed address labels (for Parcel Force, have machine)

I'm with you 100% ... if I didn't have to pack I wouldn't miss it!

Hubby says I cost myself a fortune with the time I take to pack things carefully
