I would take it to mean that they have a list of contacts that provide specific service to compliment their own business, ie book-binders, perfect binding, die-cutting, designers, laminators and other print associated services. It is fairly common practice (on the Isle of Wight anyway) for printing companies to aquire unique machinery to provide services that other Island print business can use/make use of, instead of sending work across the Solent, thus keeping costs/time down. There's little point at times in competing directly with your competitors when by expanding the services you provide over them means at times they will use you, instead of buying the kit themselves...
Not withstanding that this could mean that they are 1 part of a group of businesses belonging to one company within the industry.

On the other hand it could mean that it has a little socket in the back so that you can connect it to a network.

the difference betweek a network and usb connection printer being that the printer connects to your router or switch and can be used independtly of other machines ,Using a usb printer attached to another pc over a network means the host pc needs to be turned on for you to use the printer services Thus Network Printers Rock
